Been busy the past week and a half. Moving - erk! Terrible state of affairs this moving thing.
If you notice the screenshot, it's pathetic, I know. Worse still I usually just use the standard 2K blue as the BG too but changed to black to show the contrast of the skin there.
I submitted this just to see if anyone thought I should complete the skin - I'm not enjoying it at all, mind, that may be due to everything being extremely hectic at the moment.

Well shit. I'll get sraight to the point. My hard drive failed today. I backed up my most important data 6 weeks ago so while I was annoyed, I'd live. It was still under warranty so that wasn't a major dilemma either. What was then? The CD backup was damaged (unbeknown to me at the time) so I couldn't restore from that backup. It was then that my humbly annoyed mood turned foul.
All my skin pngs, web site pngs and a fair bit of other stuff I valued, unrecoverable.
ugh! the week can only get better.

Interesting to note, Danube has more dl's in a day than Olde Timer (a better skin) has in a week. Just thought I'd mention that =D

Well, it's time to give the old Winamp skinning a break and move onto other things. While I get a buzz out of completing a skin there's just a gazillion skinners out there and the app is just flooded with skins (both good and bad - I fall under both catagories though the good is debatable).
I'm getting back into 3D. It's been 7 years! A friend has given me his copy of Lightwave 5.7 and even though it's old, it'll allow me to get the update [6.5] for a hell of a lot less than the full version.
No pirating, no cheating, he's simply using other software now due to the company he works for taking up SoftImage and no longer has a use for it.
My goofy Flash email group has finally reached the 500 users mark which is no mean feat for something that took 3 months to get it's first member. Funny how things perpetuate.
Anyway, I'm out and probably wont be submitting anything for quite some time, learning curve and all that.
